This course is based on Vectorworks 2023.
These movies are for you to learn the basic concepts of Vectorworks. If you are new to Vectorworks, these movies will help enormously. Watch the movie all the way through and take notes. Then move the course video to another monitor if you have one. Play the movie and carry out the steps to complete the exercise, stopping and starting the movie as necessary. When you have finished the exercise, watch the movie again.
Module 1 – Introduction to Vectorworks
This module is an introduction to the basic concepts of Vectorworks. Learn how to work with the Vectorworks interface, control selection and snapping, control graphics, and place text and dimensions

Lesson 1.1 – Vectorworks Interface
The interface is the way that Vectorworks appears on the screen and it is the way that you interact with Vectorworks.
This lecture will explain the parts of Vectorworks, so it is important that you complete this lecture, otherwise you will get lost later on. Try to make notes as you watch the movie. Remember that you can stop and start the movies as required to repeat something.
Learning Objectives:
- Learn how to navigate around the Vectorworks interface.
- Learn how to access tools and palettes.
- Learn how to set up the required units.
- Learn how to set up page areas for printing.
- Learn how to create basic objects.
Open a new blank file and follow the instructions in the movie.
I have logged in and clicked on Module 1 – Introduction to Vectorworks. A box with Lesson 1.1 – Vectorworks Interface appears and I click on that and nothing happens, other than the page score;lls down to display Related Articles and a box to Post Comment – which is what I am now doing! How do I access Module 1, Lesson 1.1?
