It is important that you create your models accurately and that you are very precise when dimensioning (use Object Snaps wherever possible). Because we need to be able to snap accurately to the stuff that we are dimensioning, it will help you to zoom in. You will then easily see the drawing that you want to dimension.
Dimension Standards contol control the way dimensions appear on the file. Vectorworks comes with several built in standards to choose from and you can choose to create your own. If you create your own Dimension Standard, you should store this in your tempalte file or in your library.
