Interactive Workshops October 2013 – What’s New in Vectorworks 2014

When a new version of Vectorworks comes out, it is important to look at the new features and how they benefit you. Every year we look at what is new in Vectorworks and we try to look at how these new features can be used in your workflow. For Vectorworks 2014 there was some major changes in working in 3D.

OpenGL has been completely rewritten by Vectorworks for this version. This makes it a lot faster and clearer to use OpenGL. Along with that were a couple of changes to selection and snapping and 3D, the walk-through tool, and the X-Ray mode. The combination of these things has mean that it is now easy to work in the rendered 3-D view.
There have also been several small changes which on their own do not look like much, but taken as a group will really increase your productivity.
