Workspaces – Workspace is Vectorworks’ way of describing the combination of menus and tool palettes. When you start Vectorworks you get two workspaces, the Fundamentals and the Workspace for your profession. These tools and menus may not suit your way of working.
The first thing you should do is to watch how you use Vectorworks. Keep a note of the tools and commands that you use most often. If the tools have hotkeys, you need to learn those, if not, they need to have hotkeys assigned. If the menu commands have keyboard shortcuts, you should learn these, if not you need to add some.
