In this session we looked at there topics: creating a custom window symbol, editing the roof of a massing model, and using a 3D polygon to modify a site model.
This was the second session for the May BIM Special Interest Group. There was only one attendee, so he was able to guide the direction of the session. We look at worksheets and creating a window schedule.
Window Schedule – Creating a report that shows all the windows.
Door Schedule – Creating a report that shows all the doors.
Adding Additional information to Windows – You can attach additional information to window for the window schedule.
Adding Additional information to Doors – You can attach additional information to doors for the door schedule.
Inserting Doors and Windows Accurately – Inserting the Doors and Windows in 3D is fast and fun, but not accurate. This is a fast and accurate way to insert doors and windows.
Editing a Symbol – If you make your windows and doors into symbols, you have to be able to edit them.
Saving a Window As a Symbol – You can save your windows as symbols, this makes it easy to repeat them.
