Question: Do you, or are you still able to use that roof truss PIO you referred to back in 2013?? I think it was created in 2008. Just curious.

I tried the roof truss tool recently and it still worked. But be careful whether and remember that it was designed for use with Vectorworks 2008. You can find it here: http://www.vectordepot.com/older_plug-ins.html. You will have to scroll a long way down to find, or use the shortcut CTRL+F or command+F to open a find window to search the page.
