Using Evernote

I use a program called Evernote. This is a great little program. I use it to collect together notes. For example when I am teaching my online webinars, users quite often suggest things that would be useful. Now, I could keep a notepad next to my desk, but I find a better to use a computer to keep these notes. The reason is, if I write the notes on the computer I can expand on I can expand them, then copy and paste them into a blog like this.

For example, if I start  a note on my Windows machine, I can then move to my Macintosh and finish off the note. Then, if I am going to town or to meeting, I can use my iPad or iPhone to access those notes as well, and so I can further expand those notes from one of those devices.  I can understand that you may not want to use an iPhone or an iPad. That is OK, you can still use an android tablet or an android phone to access your Evernotes.
I found my local discount stationery store had an android tablet for about $180.  you can use this to view my PDF files, check your e-mail, read your Kindle books, and lots of other things.

If you use more than one computer, Evernote is a great way to have your notes up to date. Changes to notes that you make on one machine are updated on the other machine when Evernote is running.
Evernote has a great web clipping tool that I use to grab web pages and store them for later reading.

Evernote is free to use, so there is no reason to not try it.
You can download Evernote from their website,  from the Macintosh app store, or from an android marketplace.

You have to create an account, but it does not cost you anything to create an account.  Once your account is set up, you can start using Evernote. If you download Evernote to a new device, just login with your name and password, and you see all the notes you created. Any note you edit on any device, is automatically updated to your Evernote database. All your notes are always up-to-date regardless of where you look at the notes.
