Good Afternoon Jonathan
We are recent member to your website and enjoy the benefits and information available on your website.
We are currently seeking to source a way through Vectorworks, to provide a more automated approach for the creation of SIPS Wall Panel setting and dimensioning with schedules for cutting lists and manufacturing purposes for a number of our Off-Site Manufacturing clients.
From our understanding, Vectorworks has certain limitations in this regard but perhaps we are missing a trick. Alternatively, do you know of a Plugin perhaps that would provide a greater degree of automation and customisation. We are reasonably well acquainted with the Vectorworks Worksheets which we putting to good use but feel limited with the rest.
A colleague of mine produces precisely what is required using a programme called HSB CAD which sits alongside AutoCad and provides a very automated result in terms of automatic setting out of the panel widths, sole and head plates, fillets and the like. In addition, a high level of automatic dimensioning forms part of the overall operation together with the Cutting Lists.
Would you be able to throw any light on what we are endeavouring to achieve but if there is no plugin or instance fix your suggestion would be much appreciated.
Thanks again and best regards
William
