epodcast165 – Creating a Non-Standard Door
If you use the standard door object in Vectorworks, it allows you to create a non-standard door. However, there are a few steps you need to go through in order to make this happen. In this example I show 3D model of a door with a chamfer cut off the corner. But you could also use the same technique to create doors that Vectorworks does not support, for example bi-folding doors with five leaves.

This does not show how to create a non-standard door but rather how to insert an already created one. Is there a post for the creation part of it?
Thank you for your comments. I have now updated the movie to show how I made the actual door. However, the movie only shows one way to create the door, but there are many, many different ways that you could do it. The basic strategy is to create 3-D information to form the door, and create to the information for the plan view.
