When you open a file that uses fonts that are not on your computer, Vectorworks will use font mapping to map the missing font to a font that you have on your computer.

  • Go to the Menu Bar.
  • Choose Tools > Options > Vectorworks Preferences…[ms-protect-content id=”34491,34492,34493, 34494, 34495, 34496, 344927″]
  • Click on the Edit Tab
  • Click on the Edit Font Mappings… button.

  •  Select the font that you want to change.
  • Click on the pop-up menu to change the font to use.

  1. Does Font Mapping only work for fonts that are missing from your computer or can it be used to change any fonts?

    1. Only for fonts that are missing. Try using Text Styles for an easy way to change from one font to another.
