I’ve just had a question from one of my clients. He wants to create superscript characters on his Macintosh, the little squared and cubed symbols we add instead of writing sq.ft, or sq.m.

I did find an old youtube movie that I made, this shows you how to make the unusual characters: But, in Vectorworks 2011, you no longer have to use this method.
Type in the text you want.
Select the text for superscript.
 
 
 
 
Go to the Object Info palette.
You will see text is shown, along with several options.
Click on the Superscript option, this is the option that makes the small squared of cubed symbol.
 
 
 
 
Now you should see the correct text.
