How to Search a Web Page

A friend of mine showed me this trick the other day, and it makes it so easy to look through a web page to find what you want. On my subscriber web site, there is a page with all the back issues. It can take a long time to look through all the topics to find what you are looking for. This trick makes it so easy to find the right topic.

An example of this would be looking through my CPD manuals page. You don’t want to read the descriptions of 50 manuals to find what you want.
Open the web site you want to search.

Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+F (windows) or Command+F (Macintosh). This will open a search area to look for information.

Type in the phrase or word you want to search for. If the word is located on the web site, the page will scroll so you can see the word. Your web browser will highlight the word for you.

Continue typing to narrow the search criteria. This should help you to find the anything on a web page.

With the subscription CPD manuals, you can use this to search all the manuals I have written.
