    Viewport Crop. The visibility of the viewport crop is now controlled in the Object Info Palette. In previous versions you had to create a class, or change the line style / weight to control the visibility of the Viewport Crop.

    You can easily create a viewport from a  camera, it is one of the easiest ways to set up perspective viewports.

  • Locating Viewports on the Sheet Layer

    There have been times where I have lost viewports on a sheet layer, usually when I’m working with survey information. The reason is that the survey information is a long way from the origin of the sheet layer (which is usually 0,0).

    When you create viewports you can sometimes spend a lot of time going in and out of viewports. But there are things you can do to make it quicker. You can set the edit annotation dialog box to suit yourself, we can right-click on a viewport to edit it.

    For lights you can do this is by using different classes for different lights or groups of lights, then having the appropriate class(es) on or off in any particular VP. I do this with different sun angles all the time.
