Drawing a commercial joinery unit, like a mid-floor display unit for a retail store. We will learn about 3d modeling, using pre-Vectorworks 2011 methods and the, faster ways in Vectorworks 2011.
With the drawings and model set up, you can return to the model and edit it using 3D modeling tools.
Creating a side elevation of the joinery unit.

Before you set up the drawings, you need to set up the classes for objects that you want to turn off, or texture.
Making the feet of the joinery unit using extrusions and simple solid modeling, then using the mirror tool, you can copy them to the correct locations.
when you have created the shelves in the central divider, you can use Add Solid to join the objects together.
If you are using Vectorworks 2011 or better, you can use the Push/Pull tool to create the central divider. If you are using earlier versions of it works you need to change your view first.
