    I’m also on Windows 7 Professional.  My Vectorworks icons were generic looking until I right clicked on a Vectorworks file and selected, “Open With”. From here I Browsed to the desired Vectorworks application and the icons immediately updated. Double clicking on Vectorworks files are working fine for me.
