Vectorworks Tip 272 – Site Modeling – Site Modifiers – Grade Limits from Pad
Intermediate Tip – This a fast and efficient way to place a Grade Limits by using an existing Pad. You can set a constant slope or a constant distance.

Intermediate Tip – With this mode you are setting the overall shape of the Hardscape – the outline of it.
Intermediate Tip – By choosing the first mode with this tool, you can edit individual frames of the curtain wall. You can lengthen, shorten or delete parts of the frame system.
Beginner Tip – The second mode on the Tool bar allows you to move an edge. This is an easy way to move the edges and it will not affect the angle of the adjoining sides.
Intermediate Tip – Grade Limits are used to limit the extent of the changes to the site model. Outside the grade limits the site model is not affected.
Intermediate Tip – The 3D settings on the hardscape object allow you to create the 3D part of the hardscape where you can choose to create a slab, site modifier or texture bed.
Intermediate Tip – Once you have created the wall as a curtain wall, you can edit the individual panels and frames with the Edit Curtain Wall tool.

Intermediate Tip – A 3D Polygon can be a site modifier if you assign it to the correct class. The important thing is the class, if you do not assign it to the class, it will not work as a Site Modifier.
